Community Campout Nov. 3 – 4
Join us for the fall installment of our Community Campout at VFW Park! This free overnight event begins at 4:00 p.m. on Friday, November 3rd through 9:00 a.m. on Saturday, November 4th. Families with children of all ages are welcome to attend! Participants can enjoy the park, attend an activity celebrating Texas Arbor Day with Keep Katy Beautiful, then settle in for the evening with a hot dog dinner and outdoor movie. Delight in some time with your fellow campers at breakfast the next morning before loading up and enjoying the rest of your weekend! The VFW Park is located at 6202 George Bush Drive, Katy, TX 77493.
While the event is FREE, all participants must register to participate with the Parks & Recreation Department at City Hall located at 901 Avenue C, Katy, TX 77493. The deadline to register is Wednesday, November 1 at 5:00 p.m. Food and supplies are based on participants’ preregistration, so no late registrations or attendees will be accepted. Please be sure to bring any camping and personal supplies you and your family will need, including bug spray. No electricity is provided and camping trailers are not allowed. There are public restrooms on site. Please no glass, alcohol or pets; flammable materials are also prohibited. Due to the risks, camp fires are not allowed. Please do not leave valuables in your car unattended or unlocked – it is best to leave them at home.
In order to attend breakfast, you must campout overnight.
Children must be accompanied by an adult.
