Elected – May 2018
Chris Harris was elected in May 2018 as the At-Large Councilmember. He grew up in Navasota, Texas and attended Sam Houston State University. Chris has been employed in the public safety field for various law enforcement agencies since 1998.
Harris has also served on the following City of Katy Boards: Katy Development Authority, Tax Reinvestment Zone Board Number One and Charter Review Commission. He has also served the community as President of his neighborhood HOA board, participated in numerous school committees, and has volunteered with the Katy Prairie Conservancy and Keep Katy Beautiful Board.
He is an active member, and past church council member, of Katy First United Methodist Church and has enjoyed helping within the church in various capacities. He is an avid Katy Tiger sports and Katy High School supporter, being active in the booster club and other volunteer organizations.
Chris and his wife, Danielle, a Katy native, have three children Makayley, Kylynn and Bradley. All their children proudly attend Katy schools.
