Visit Katy’s Museums
The Katy Heritage Museum has displays featuring vintage farming equipment and artifacts from Katy’s agricultural and pioneering history. Located at 6002 George Bush Drive, the Museum is open Thursday through Sunday from Noon to 6 p.m. Admission is free.
The G.I. Joe Museum is a first class military exhibit of historical significance encompassing every foreign conflict involving the United States. The Museum is located in the VFW Building at 6202 George Bush Drive. It is open Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. and admission is free.
The Katy Heritage Park offers free public tours of beautifully restored historic homes the first full weekend of each month. Hours are 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday and on Sundays from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. For special events go to www.katyheritagesociety.com
